Worst Cross in History
What a cunt Masuaku is.
That was surely the worst cross in History.
Well that was what me and my mates shouted after that cunt Masuaku put that in.
Unbelievable, how is he a professional footballer.
What a result though.

I assumed this thread was going to be about Mason Mount's mis-hit cross for Chelsea's second. He's clearly trying to square it for Havertz in the box.

He was going to put a cross in, but then Reece James shouted in his ear and put him off. Justice was done.

Nuts - Trains always stopped at Crewe in those days. I actually got off there one time for a midweek league cup game there, can't recall the score though, but think we might have lost?

I think the Sheff Wed cup defeat was a midweek replay? remember being totally gutted about that one.

My first away game was 3rd round of the F A Cup at Southampton in 1975. Year we beat Fulham in the final.

I went to plenty of away games in the early 80’s. Liverpool and Everton away. Can’t remember which one but on the way home the train stopped at Crewe and everyone piled out and smashed a pub up, cops everywhere…went to Leicester away,
White Hart Lane, Highbury, saw us lose to Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough in the quarter final of the cup.

Never went to Old Trafford though.

Always remember Millwall at home in the 80’s, kicking off everywhere outside and around the Boleyn…..

Nope won't have it.
His football brain kick in for a second and saw the goalkeeper off the line .

His opinion doesn't matter.

I think it must have taken a deflection off of the defenders instep! Masuaka, left foot cross should have been curling away from the keeper! For that to go in at the near post like that it must be a deflection. Or else Masuaka has a foot shaped like a 50p piece! I’m not complaining either way!

So when did you start going to away games, Nuts? It's weird but I have a vivid memory of this game, I was playing football over the field as a kid (just a kick about) and someone come over and said we'd won 0-1, was well pleased. Was August bank holiday 83 and a sunny day.

An apology will suffice as it's you but if you think he meant that you need a visit to SpecSavers at the least. Even the man himself has admitted he meant it as a cross.
Then you need to watch him as a defender. Today he was appalling and allowed his man to get past him at every opportunity. As the commentator said the throw to Antonio wasn't helpful for his cross/goal.He doesn't know what to do with the ball when he has it going forward. He might be a nice bloke but he's a crap footballer.

We were behind the goal and couldn’t believe it actually went in.

Blimey exile .... there has not been one expert... ie ex players that have played the game... sports writers who know a bit ... even Arthur himself has basically said he fluked it... but you reckon it's goal of the century... I mean he looks up... sees Soucek unmarked on the far post and fair dues tries to fing him... but typical Arthur he fucked up... just this time ... his fuck up caught their keeper off guard and Roberts yer Father's Brother happy days it's the winner...

I mean if he played for CFC and done that aginst us would you be shouting WOW GOAL OF THE SEASON or maybe... FUCKING HELL WHAT A JAMMY CUNT... THAT VLOKE CAN'T NORMALLY PASS WIND...

Come on, he's even more or less that it was a cross and you know what? I totally applaud it and him for being honest and witty.

You've GOT to give him a lot of love or you should give up football and play golf..

For the rest of us he's put a MASSIVE smile on our faces all weekend on.

Re: Worst Cross in History
You've sunk to a cunty new low here in your anti-Masuaku agenda, daveyg. I'll grant you, he is a poor defender and as an attacking player he blows hot and cold, average overall. But I am definitely in with those who think he meant it. If you look at it, it looks to all the world as if he is going to cross. Then the defender moves away from him in case he decides to pass to Antonio. Arthur also sees Mendy coming off his line, clearly changes his mind and has a go. By saying he was surprised he is just being modest.

Re: Worst Cross in History
If that had been scored by a player from any of the Top 6, he would have definitely "meant it" - even if the player had come out himself and said "I scuffed a cross"; the pundits wouldn't allow it to rest and the goal would have been repeated on football shows at every opportunity.

I think he meant it from the way he shaped up but if the boy says he didn't I'd be a cunt to argue with him.

Still, a strange feeling going into the remaining games knowing that - barring a deliberate & accidental points deduction for "being uppity fucking cockneys" - we'll come out of the weekend in 4th place.

I liked the way that Mendy took ages to realise it was headed for his goal before he started to react.

Embarrassing clip for him in slo-mo!
